Crispy, golden, and irresistibly creamy on the inside, these Keto Avocado Fries are a low-carb twist on a classic snack. Perfect as an appetizer or side dish, they’re easy to make in the oven or air fryer and pair beautifully with your favorite dipping sauces.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large firm, ripe avocados (peeled, pitted, and sliced into wedges)
  • Juice of 1 lemon (optional)
  • 1 large egg, whisked
  • 1 cup superfine blanched almond flour
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Cooking oil spray (olive or avocado oil)

Instructions

Prep the Avocados: Slice avocados into thick wedges (about ½–¾ inch). Toss with lemon juice if desired to cut any bitterness.

Set Up Coating Stations: In one bowl, whisk the egg. In another bowl, combine almond flour and Parmesan cheese. If available, pulse the mixture in a food processor until sandy in texture.

Coat the Slices: Dip each avocado wedge into the egg wash, shaking off excess. Place it on a small mound of breading, sprinkle more over the top, and press gently to coat evenly.

Cook:

  • Air Fryer: Preheat to 375°F. Arrange slices in a single layer, spray with cooking oil, and air fry for 10 minutes or until golden and crisp.
  • Oven: Preheat to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, arrange slices in a single layer, spray with oil, and bake for ~25 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Serve: Squeeze fresh lemon juice over fries if desired and serve immediately with a dipping sauce like spicy mayo or ranch.

Notes

Serving Suggestions: Pair with spicy mayonnaise (mix mayo with hot sauce) or chipotle ranch for dipping. Garnish with fresh cilantro for added flavor.

Tips & Tricks:

  • Use firm avocados to prevent them from falling apart during coating.
  • Avoid overcrowding in the air fryer or oven for even crisping.
  • For extra crunch, finely grate Parmesan cheese before mixing with almond flour.

Storage & Reheating: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in an air fryer at 350°F for ~3–5 minutes to restore crispiness. Avoid microwaving as it softens the coating.
